Sport Business Camp: “Authorized Personnel Only”

This popular overnight camp for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors returns for its second year in 2024. During the five-day camp — which doubles as a four-credit, introductory-level college course — participants will learn about the business of sports, interact with executives from regional sports organizations, and visit sports facilities to get a rare behind-the-scenes experience. Organizations include the United Center, Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers, Carthage College Athletics, and Forward Madison FC (USL), among others. Learn about and discuss sports marketing, sales, finance, game day operations, facility operations, and human resources.
Participants who complete the camp will receive four Carthage College credits.

Cost: $1,350. Cost includes overnight accommodations in the Carthage residence halls (The Oaks Village), three meals per day, and transportation to and from stadium site visits.
Carthage Business Camp: “How It’s Made”

Carthage’s five-day “How It’s Made” Business Camp for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors returns for its second year in 2024, offering participants a unique hands-on learning experience as they interact with community business partners. Students will be introduced to essential business functions — such as operations, finance, sales, human resources, and more — through engaging classroom work and on-site visits to local companies to meet with teams and the operations they manage. Students will be exposed to different manufacturing processes used in the production of goods and will learn how essential business functions are applied in real-world business applications.
Participants who complete the camp will earn four Carthage College credits.
Camp Hours: 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-noon Friday
Cost: $850. Cost includes two meals per day and transportation to and from employer sites.
